
Holly Hargrove- Recreation Director
Holly has served as the St. Agatha Recreation Director since March 2024. With many years of experience in early childhood
education and office administration, she brings a strong background in program development, organization, and community engagement. Holly is passionate about strengthening community through recreation by creating opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, stay active, and enjoy meaningful experiences year-round. Her goal is to continue building inclusive, accessible programs that enhance quality of life and foster a strong sense of community in St Agatha and surrounding communities.
The town's Recreation Department is absolutely one of the more active departments for communities of our size. The department is very proactive in developing programs for kids and adults of all ages.
As always, the kids were very excited in the many activities planned such as arts & crafts, cooking, taking day trips, swimming, environmental projects, painting and pottery.
The recreation department has several facilities that may be utilized by the community these include:
- Baseball Field
- Playground w/ Swings
- Tennis Court
- Walking Trails
The recreation department also has a summer recreation program. This year's program will be 7 weeks. It will start June 24 thru August 9.
Throughout the year, the St. Agatha Recreation Department offers a variety of programs and activities for children, teens, adults, and seniors. Opportunities include after-school programs, sports and fitness activities, outdoor recreation, spring Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dances, community events, and seasonal programs designed to encourage participation, foster connections, and bring people together.
The Recreation Department maintains several community recreational facilities, including:

• Playground and Swings
• Tennis Court
• Walking Trails
• Frenchville Ice Rink (December–March)
In addition, the department operates a six-week Summer Recreation Program that provides children with safe, engaging, and enriching experiences through games, creative activities, outdoor adventures, field trips, and special events.
We are also proud to serve as a local Access Point for Aroostook Agency on Aging, helping connect community members with valuable services, resources, and support close to home.
